'Delphinium Blue'. Hand Pressed Drypoint Print Drawing
Continuing my Delphinium love, here is my intaglio print.
Intaglio is a process where I draw into a blank plate with a sharp tool making grooves and burrs. I then place ink into the burr (lines) wipe off excess and then run under my press with some dampened printmaking paper over the top.
Each print is classed as an original piece of work because the process has to be worked to each of the 12 prints I make from one plate.
It is A3 in papersize, signed, yearly dated, numbered and titled in pencil.
A3 paper size (29.7 x 42cm) and ready to slip into any High St purchased frame, or your local picture framers.
