Daffodils symbolise: Spring, new beginnings and rebirth.
How I love Daffodils, the coming of a new season, Spring and then summer. Once the Christmas decorations are down, I look forward to having these yellow flowers dotted all around the house, and this year, painting them.
Daffodils not only symbolise the turning of the year for me, but also the very beginning of my painting flowers as part of my career. I’ve always loved dabbling in them, but with the coming of this last Spring, a real change occurred for me in making these large scale studies of flowers.
It all began with Daffodils.
This painting is 100 x 100cm on a deep box canvas of 4cm.
