Solo Show Success

Hello Friends. I’m chuffed to bits to share that my solo exhibition was better than I could ever have imagined. Friends and clients came from near and far, I learned so much - feedback is precious. Here are the highlights.

Things I gained…(in no particular order)

  • Confidence in turning up and selling in person again.

  • Seeing my work in a gallery environment. How the works hung together.

  • Feedback from clients that I don’t exhibit enough.

  • First-person intel on which pieces sold first and why

  • Over 60 new additions to my mailing list from my comments book

  • A whole host of new clients that I met in person and connected with (very precious stuff)

  • A list of people that want to visit my studio by appointment

  • Precious memories of my family pushing the boat out to help me during the hang, Private View and de-rig too

  • A financial boost for my business.

That’s quite a list.

Yes, it was tiring and VERY scary especially two or three days before when our minds try to convince us that we don’t have enough work or all that we have to show is simply not good enough. These horrible thoughts are part of the process of exhibiting - we just need to ride them out and carry on regardless.

I loved it. I loved the space and I loved the people, so much so I’ve rebooked for May 2025.

Much love

Sam x
