'Vase' Ceramic Drawing on Vase

This is a very sweet little oval vase I found and had to draw upon.

These ceramic drawings are both sustainable and original. The former because they are all items sourced and found in charity shops - and original because each drawing is completed by my own hand.

This little vase is 15cm x 12cm

The process to make these works are to first source suitable wares, and after deep cleaning, a line drawing is made using porcelain paint. Left to dry for 24hrs, the plates are then baked in my oven for 40 minutes leaving them to cool completely.

Back into my studio for final cleaning and then a matt varnish is applied, leaving to dry for a further 24hrs.

The final work is tough and permanent. They are not food-safe and can be washed in warm soapy water.
