Dogs. My Go-To Happy Place

When finding my feet having had some time out of the studio, Dogs are wonderful subjects for me.

I dig out the photographs from past commissions and sit happily reworking them into drawings, then paintings. The only difference this time is working in oil paint, rather than acrylic.

These are two that I worked on to warm up my hand and am so happy to see that I still have the ability to paint those lovely little faces (I never take it for granted).

These are both 30 x 30cm oil on board.

Having some unexpected time on my hands pre-Christmas, I’m thinking of offering out a few painting spots for these. My plan is to continue sharpening my hand and once I get to where I want to be, I will be in touch.
